Campus Crusade for Christ - The Campus Ministry

The Legacy Project

The Legacy Project is an initiative to benefit its budding young leaders by connecting them to our organizational heritage and learning from the veterans who have brought the ministry thus far.

Campus Crusade has some of the finest leaders in Christendom. Our leaders are often filled with passion and vision for the future.

Owing to generational preference for the present and a propensity to look ahead rather than behind, we can easily forget the lessons learned along the way and neglect the wisdom of the past. As has been aptly said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” (George Santayana).

Legacy seeks to educate younger leaders to the history, traditions and heritage of Campus Crusade with specific application to their contemporary context.

In a technology driven society that accelerates faster and faster, day by day, we are seeing that one of the most effective ways to communicate is through story telling. We are fast becoming a story telling culture. The use of this means of communication is being used more and more in teaching and preaching ministries.

With storytelling in mind the desire is to relate the many faith building opportunities that God has allowed the more senior staff of Campus Crusade to experience during their many years of ministry through the means of telling short word picture stories; thus the name The Legacy Project.

Giving younger staff the advantage of hearing first hand what God has done in previous decades is sure to touch their lives and strengthen their faith.

How does it work

  • Sharing stories through video
  • Sharing at conferences and retreats
  • Personal mentoring through email

The first two aspects are already in place. We will be adding the third feature later this fall.
