Remote Medical and Dental Clinic

This property is the focal point for several means of outreach into the local community. One facet that has recently come online is the medical and dental clinic. In just a couple of days a dental team of about 6 folks set up and are already seeing patients.

When we go into the villages and, even among the educated Hatians, my eyes are frequently drawn to their smiles. Both because those smiles reveal joy in their hearts despite unbelievable circumstances. But also because those smiles reveal the result of probably zero dental care across their entire lives.

The people’s teeth and gums need help – both in the village and the city. Our in-house dentist and nurse practitioners are taking care of folks daily.

A few 4×8 sheets of plywood and a cable holding a curtain makes for a pretty simple patient room. But it’s the best care available.
