A Call to Prayer
In times like these we desperately need God - we need God to meet with us, to comfort us, and to give us perspective. We need to look heavenward to the One who can give grace and pour out His mercy in our time of need.
In view of this, the leadership of Campus Crusade for Christ invites you to join together sometime this Thursday in a concerted gathering to call on God. Perhaps you could invite others in your community to join together with the staff, students, alumni, and laypeople throughout our country to call on the Lord to work in this very difficult situation.
I also think it would be an incredible testimony and blessing to the Virginia Tech community to know there has been such an outpouring of love demonstrated by prayer.
So if God is leading you to join us, would you mind leaving a comment to let us know that you are joining us in prayer? Would you let us know the location (city, state) you will be praying and leave an encouraging note for our Campus Crusade for Christ community at Virginia Tech?

Having lost my daughter last July, I am so sorry to all of the family members of those who died. The healing process is not easy but by the grace of our Lord, the Resurrection is indeed a place to acknowledge and embrace. I found solace in a “GriefShare” group. It saved my life.
God Bless,

God does not make these horrific things happen but He is there to help us through it. We can’t imagine the sorrow that the students and families of the victims must be feeling but we are praying for their comfort and healing.
God Bless

I am in Dallas and have a dtr who is a college freshman who was shook up over this. Praying is the only way I told her so that is what we are doing. I pray for each and everyone. God knows who they are and what they need. I am sending this to my email prayer partners for continued support.
My favorite verse - Phil. 4:13
Whatever GOD asks us to lift,
HE gives us the GRACE to carry!

My heart and soul is with you at this time. We will not know the answers until the next life as to why the enemy must take peoples lifes and destroy hearts. With eachother, we can find peace and scripture that help us over come fear and anger. God wants faith to be known and your spirit lead prayer will change so many
watching. Those looking down on us only know what’s in store. I hope many will grow to love through this. I am so sorry for your suffering.

I will be in prayer today for the students that lost their lives or were hurt, for all of their family and friends that will miss them so dearly, for students all across the US who are so afraid that they will have hope in Jesus Christ; and for the young who have troubled minds, that a Christian will be able to reach out to them and show Christ’s love and get the help they need to relieve their tormented minds.

My heart also bleeds with the Virginia Tech community at the recent unthinkable happenings. I join the body of Christ in prayer as we wrap our arms around the wounded in body and spirit. I work with international students in Philadelphia and feel their pain that the perpetrator was one of them. Our house board will join in prayer tonight.

-Everyone at the University of North Texas and Denton city is praying for everyone at Virginia Tech and their families. God is with you all and is laying a hand on all the hurt and pain, only to bring healing and comfort. Never lose faith in God, because he never puts more on us than we can bare. He is our light and salvation. You all are in our prayers.

Oh, that the Shadow of The Almighty would overshadow all those involved. That He would anoint the hands, feet, lips, and heads of all those that will be assisting any of the students, faculty members, parents, and community with the Precious Balm of Gilead.
Peace be upon you. AuntieB - Huntington, WV

The staff, faculty and students at Grace Bible College, Wyoming, Michigan are praying for the families of the victims and for the students, staff, faculty & administrators at VT. We are praying for those who can be Christ-in-the-flesh for all who are impacted by this tragedy, extending His Love, Grace and Peace to those who are hurting. We pray also for the media coverage of this event and the impact it has on all who hear it. May there be many oportunities to point others to Christ, our source of Hope and Peace!

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I pray that this will bring community and campus closer to each other and God. Do not let your anger create more evil. Release judgement to God and he will deal with the evil.
