A Call to Prayer
In times like these we desperately need God - we need God to meet with us, to comfort us, and to give us perspective. We need to look heavenward to the One who can give grace and pour out His mercy in our time of need.
In view of this, the leadership of Campus Crusade for Christ invites you to join together sometime this Thursday in a concerted gathering to call on God. Perhaps you could invite others in your community to join together with the staff, students, alumni, and laypeople throughout our country to call on the Lord to work in this very difficult situation.
I also think it would be an incredible testimony and blessing to the Virginia Tech community to know there has been such an outpouring of love demonstrated by prayer.
So if God is leading you to join us, would you mind leaving a comment to let us know that you are joining us in prayer? Would you let us know the location (city, state) you will be praying and leave an encouraging note for our Campus Crusade for Christ community at Virginia Tech?

Proverbs 29:25 tells us “Fear of man will prove to be a snare; but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe”.
Psalm 4:8 says “I will both lie down in peace, and sleep, for you alone O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
I stand with everyone across these United States, uniting with them, in agreement with God’s Word. We WILL overcome evil with good.

Our Womens Bible Study from CedarMill Bible Church in Portland, Oregon is in deep prayer for everyone at VT Tech. Reading and listening to the interviews on your CCC website our hearts go out to each of you. Phil.3:13-14 says: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prze, for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Last night I met with my bible study and we prayed not only for the victims and their families, but also for the family of the shooter. I will be glad to join in prayer today. Jesus is definitely our source of comfort.

We will be praying with you tonight on Thursday during our weekly young adult fellowship. We heard about the call to prayer through Family Life radio. We are a Chinese-American church in Northern California and were devasted when we heard the news. May God work mightily through your group in Va. Tech during this time.

My family and I are praying for you daily. My husband was on staff with Campus Crusade and we were both involved in college. I appreciate your ministry very much and I’m encouraged to know that God is using you there on Campus to bring His word of truth and comfort. He will never leave us or forsake us!

It is my prayer that you receive continually, the peace that surpasses your own understanding from the God of all comfort, during your time of healing and restoration.(Phillipians 4 vs. 7 & 2 Corinthians 1 vs. 3

I pray that God gives you all the strength, courage, and conviction to get through this troubling time. I would like to share this scripture.
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART; AND LEAN NOT UNTO THINE OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL THY WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL DIRECT THY PATHS. PROVERBS 3:5-7 (KJV)

As a graduate of William and Mary, I feel as though a part of my family is involved. Friends, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters, neices and nephews of friends are part of the Tech community - and my heart goes out to them. The Tech families are in my prayers as well as in my family’s prayers. I pray our Lord uses me and His people to comfort the comfortless and use each situation in the coming days to remove darkness and evil and reveal His glory.

My prayers are with you all. Family and friends of the deceased and the ones left behind. The consolation being that the brave young men and women that left us, are now in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bless you all,
