A Call to Prayer
In times like these we desperately need God - we need God to meet with us, to comfort us, and to give us perspective. We need to look heavenward to the One who can give grace and pour out His mercy in our time of need.
In view of this, the leadership of Campus Crusade for Christ invites you to join together sometime this Thursday in a concerted gathering to call on God. Perhaps you could invite others in your community to join together with the staff, students, alumni, and laypeople throughout our country to call on the Lord to work in this very difficult situation.
I also think it would be an incredible testimony and blessing to the Virginia Tech community to know there has been such an outpouring of love demonstrated by prayer.
So if God is leading you to join us, would you mind leaving a comment to let us know that you are joining us in prayer? Would you let us know the location (city, state) you will be praying and leave an encouraging note for our Campus Crusade for Christ community at Virginia Tech?

May God comfort those who have been hit by this tragedy and strengthen them.
We can not ask why but just trust in our loving saviour! I will continue praying for all of those involved in this.
May God shine his face upon all of you and show is never ending Love!

Our prayers are with the young people and the families that lost their children and spouses. We pray with our five children each night before we go to bed. We thought about how short life can be and how we should always be in prayer everyday for our children and nation. We prayed especially for the tradgedy last night at church. May to Lord comfort all and lead us.

From all of us here at Azusa Pacific University in California; know that we are praying for you. When one part of the body of Christ hurts, the rest of the body hurts along with it. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

We are having a women’s day of prayer from 8:30-3:30 on Thursday, and a city wide prayer rally here at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA on Thursday evening at 7:30. We had a smaller special prayer service on Wednesday evening, as well. We love you all and are keeping you covered in prayer. “What man means for evil, God means for good.” We are confident that many will find our Savior through this horrific tragedy.

We have been and will continue to pray for everyone at VT, and beyond. God knew this was going to happen. He is bigger than this. He will find a way to draw people to Himself, and to heal the hurting. I always take comfort in knowing that things don’t surprise God. They do make Him very sad, but we don’t surprise Him.
I am sure there will be an incredible sadness over you all, for some time. But slowly the pain will ease. It will be interesting to begin to hear about the amazing things our God is going to do through this tragedy. Please take care.

By the time the clock strikes that sacred 7:00 hr tomorrow evening, most of you will be trying to get some sleep. Thus i will be praying all who have been touched by this heartbreaking event will be blessed with a much needed nite of restful and peaceful sleep. We are all hyper-vunerable when our physical bodies are so ravaged by chaos and shear exhaustion.”These things I spoken to you that in me you might have peace. In this world we will have trouble…but He has overcome the world.” (Jn.16:33) And Praise God those who are His, are blessed with a “…peace of God that surpasses all understanding, and will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Ph. 4:7) Blessed sleep to you all my brothers and sisters, and believe the TRUTH, the Promises of God’s Word….until He comes! Sandy Miller in Homer Alaska - Rm. 15:13!
