Difficult tasks

Posted by Cynthia :: 5:53 pm

Tomorrow I will go help my friend, Chum, clean out Lauren McCain’s room. I disciple Chum, who discipled Lauren. Chum is doing okay, but absolutely brokenhearted over the loss of her friend. A few other close friends of Lauren will be coming with us too, so I know there will be a lot of tears as we box up her belongings. Please pray for us as we do this extremely painful task.

Chick Fil A is donating a TON of food for us to serve dinner at Cru tonight- how amazing is that!? Molly will be speaking at Cru tonight, so please also pray for her as she shares with the movement. We also anticipate some media presence there, so pray for them to be overly respectful and not distracting as we try to worship together. I am very concerned that they will distract us from worshipping and disrupt our community, so we’ll see.

    Hi Cynthia:
My name is Chris. I am Natinoal staff from “East Asia”. When Paul was here. We are good friends…
We are paying for you all. Here is a note from “East Asia”:
Stay close with the people who living in “Hell”

Scott Cecil: The gunman is not burning in hell…no doubt he has found final peace. We are the one’s in hell!— USA today

Maybe you will think I am too sensitive. Since I got knew that terrible Massacre Happened in VT, I felt very sad…
It is not faraway to us. It is our friend Jacob and Clay’s campus.
I can not stop thinking, if those students are not killed, will they PRC? Will they come to China as a stint ? They will!
We lost 33 lives, This world will still run. But for the dead people, They lost whole world.
    We I heard people who do not want die was forced to died ,whatever in States or China;
I almost want believed in Roman catholic. Cuz then I can believe in there is purgatory there. Then I could pray for dead people’s life…
Let’s pray for the people who survived. Pray for those families who lost their loved family member.
May Lord comfort their heart deeply. May they receive eternal life from Jesus Christ.
I also ask God will make our heart be more soft and more sensitive. May Lord give us wisdom and boldness to show His lights in this dark, evil world.
    The light of God.
Maybe it is our prayer TODAY.
Maybe it is our action TODAY.
Maybe it is a hug, a small card, a comfort words to our US brothers and sisters TODAY.
I want say : “we love you. And we will stay close with those people who are “The one’s in hell”
Then, Let’s ask our self a serious question:
Maybe I myself just in this same “Death classroom” that locked someday .
What can I do during that time?
Am I willing to sacrifice my life for others survive?
    Let’s prepare now!

    林前12:26】 若一个肢体受苦,所有的肢体就一同受苦。若一个肢体得荣耀,所有的肢体就一同快乐。

If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. (1 Cor 12:26)

    【林后7:3】。。。我已经说过,你们常在我们心里,情愿与你们同生同死。

。。。I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you.

    Dear Sisters in Christ:

How wonderful to read your comments and to see that though this very painful, you all know that Jesus Christ is with you. He will see you through this time and through much more as you grow and mature. Life is hard, but because of Jesus Christ it is more ‘doable’! Praise His Holy Name and be encouraged. You will see your friends again, because of what He has done on all our behalf. It all points to Jesus! Do you see why Jesus asked all of us in His Word, “Who do you say that I am?” Continue on the mission field that you have at Tech! What will your fellow students do with this Jesus? You have the power of the Holy Spirit to help you in this mission.

May Jesus Bless each of you and bring you His healing and Peace! He has promised to do it: He’ll give all His Children the peace that passes all understanding…not as the world gives!!!

As a fellow Hokie (’81), I am mourning with you all. Perservere on. God will reward you and as has been said, will be with you every step of the way. Perhaps new doors that were previously closed will be opened as a result of this tragedy to hear His word. I will pray for the words to be placed in your hearts to share, his endless comfort and for you to feel His love surround you all like a blanket.

My prayer for Molly and the others who witnessed so much is that God will filter the memories through his Holy Spirit, making them easier to bear. Please know that you are all being lifted before the throne of God.

    Dear brothers and sisters-in-Christ,

I’m greatly encouraged by the support you’re showing for each other through prayer and actions. Just want to encourage you to continue depending on God. I quote a friend who sent me the link to your website, “I will still rejoice in the Lord even in such a circumstance, because I believe God’s purposes will still be fulfilled and accomplished even in a tragedy like this.”

May our good Lord’s comfort and love be with all in VT to hold you and bring you peace in this time of mourning. Take heart, we at Singapore are praying for you all, the whole world’s praying along with you.

    in His love,
    Kexin

I was on staff with Crusade from 1976 to 1991 and although I’ve never been to VT I feel a special bond with you. You are my younger brothers and sisters. How I praise God there is a strong Crusade presence on that campus. My prayers are with you. God is going to use you greatly to help bring peace and healing and I’m sure through this tragedy, many are going to come into the Kingdom. We will be fervently praying for you over the next days, weeks, months. God bless all of you.

Thankyou V Tech CRU for staying at my Mollys side. I have not spoken with her since the events unfolded and have run numerous scenarios thru my mind of what she may be experiencing. I thank the Lord each day for protecting her and giving her strength to move on. Please hold her tight and continue with your support. — Aunt Susan

Dearest Fellow Believers - It was 25 years ago that I became a Christian through the ministry of CCC at VT. Although I do not know any of you, I feel a special bond with you. I am with you in the chapel for prayer; I am with you as you walk the quads and the drillfield and pray and cry; I am with you as you wander around the Duck Pond in disbelief; I am with you….
    And so is Jesus.
You have all been chosen for such a time as this. God, in His infinite wisdom and perfect plan has allowed what He hates, in order to accomplish what He loves. He has ordained these events in order to bring glory to HIS name (not the murderer’s as all this media coverage seems to be doing).
Be bold. Be strong. Be sure and certain of whose you are. Take courage - you do not walk this road alone.
Rejoice that your friends are now face to face with the One they loved. He holds them in His arms and they are whole and complete. Carry on their ministries by sharing their stories with all who will hear. Magnify His holy name!!!
“Blessed be Your name, on the road marked with suffering. Though there’s pain in the offering….blessed be Your name.”
God bless you all with His amazing grace. You are loved.

As a grandma I feel like I should be there with you just to give you a hug and tell you how sorry I am. My granddaughter will be attending Tech in the Fall so I feel a responsibility to you to go before the throne of grace and seek His Face for healing for you and most especially for those who have lost a loved one or a special friend. I will not stop praying until I sense your peace and comfort. I don’t know you, but I love you.
