Thanks for sharing your heart, Cynthia! It is really a blessing to be able to keep up to date on what God is doing in the ministry during this rugged time. It is great to see how God has led you to learn to trust Him through lots of difficulty this past year. What an encouragement to others of us! I was on CCC staff for 10+ years (IUP & regional office) and I remember it feeling overwhelming to 'focus' my efforts with my women - what to teach them, what did they need, how to train them etc. Finally, I remember God stopping me and saying - "Just learn from Me and then pass that on." I was able to relax and realize that I could only pass on what I know. But, I could also encourage them to find others to help with areas I'm weak in. It's wonderful that God has provided others to come alongside and carry some of the burden with you.

God bless all of you! Every night my 5 year old reminds me - "Don't forget - we need to pray for the students at Virginia Tech."

Cynthia,

We have all been touched one way or another by this. We have been updated by the CCC staff that we support and found your blog. Thank you for "opening your heart" and allowing the world to see what God is doing at VT. Though I do not know the students who have gone home, what a glorious homecoming that will be in Heaven. There we will be able to praise and worship Him and see what has come out of this tragety.

I really appreciate your transparency during this time. You show us all how to practice faith (acting as though what the Bible says about us is true, even if current circumstances, our emotions, or past experiences tell us otherwise.)
I feel like you a lot at times. Not necessarily this extreme because of the extreme circumstances there, but definitely at loose ends with the world, not knowing where the next step is.

God bless all of you as you perservere and as you practice faith.
